• I’ve searched all over but haven’t found info on what I’m experiencing. I’ve got Multisite working but no matter how many users I add – either through the admin panel or by creating one by registering and then logging in with the generated password – I never get a user count higher than 0 (when I click on the Super Admin menu header).

The users all show up in the Users Dashboard page but somehow they aren’t counted. I want to use buddypress (please don’t send me to them just yet) but when I activate that plugin, no users show up. I’ve troubleshooted this a lot: restarting from scratch, no plugins, etc. so I have to believe something isn’t working before I even try buddypress.

Can someone point me to where I should start investigating – a table in the db that I might check, or a status thing I’m missing, or if this result is normal.

    Thanks so much.

  • Disable all your plugins. Go look again.
    And look at error logs.

Thanks for the reply Andrea. I can see you’re a local superhero here.

Well that didn’t do it and I’m not returning any errors on that page in particular. I’m thinking it could be a php or mysql version or even the language set for my db. I’ll look into those things too.

Strange thing is when I paste code to show number of registered users, it works. That’s why I think it may be one of the things I just mentioned.

Yeah, I’d do some server poking around as well. Can’t remember if I’ve ever dealt with this exact issue.
