Receiving error “MapPress database tables are missing. Please deactivate the plugin and activate it again to fix this.” on all sub-sites of a WordPress network.

Looking at the changelog I see that there’s new options in MapPress 2.0.4, so I’m guessing that this error is because those new options are accompanied by new database tables that are only created for the primary site, but none of the other sites on the network.

Could I get confirmation if this is the case and an indication of whether there’ll be a fix or whether we have to individually activate the plugin on every site. (Really don’t want to do the latter: there’s well over 100 sites.)

  • I have the same problem on DETC.nl , however on my other site’s Carmanscan.nl and SmokeWizard.nl this problem does not seem to appear (update 2.15 problem is solved) I switched the DETC.nl site back to twenty-ten then removed MapPress and reinstalled. No succes (thought it might had to do with the Theme I am using)

In PhpMyAdmin I can see that the databases are present. Any solution?

Chris, thank you for the super support!

“Problem with the DETC.nl site was caused by the DETC_ prefix (upper case letters) instead of wp_ prefix which was a separate part”

Network activation should now work. There was also an error with using an upper-case wordpress database prefix, which is also corrected. Thanks to DETC and Kristarella for reporting the issue!
