posts by email ignores shortcodes

Hello
I’m able to post by email just fine – however, it seems that all the shortcodes are ignored – I tried to pass at least some tags and the category with the post but all the posts end up with the default category as well as empty tags.

Does anybody have an ideas what’s wrong or why this isn’t working?
