  • Version 0.9.9.6 is not really a step in the right direction. Who asked for a five second delay in the cache generation? It just makes it harder to verify that the preloading actually takes place, which it not always does (it gets stuck). It also leaves most of the site uncached for a prolonged time. Very bad.

On a more serious note, I just discovered that adding a new page on a smaller blog in a multisite environment wiped the entire cache for all blogs in the network. I can’t believe this is what is intended?

What is this wipe mechanism? A cached page should never be deleted until there is a new cached page generated, otherwise it just defeats the entire purpose of a cache. Especially if it takes hours to regenerate it…

  • i am so frustrated with the new version.
it takes forever to do the preloading.
on my site, it caches about 100 pages, and then takes a rest of 15-20 minutes before doing the next batch.
dont know why this is happening.

Try the development version on the Other Versions page. I reduced the pause to 2 seconds. It’s there to help with server load.

liangzai – that’s a bug if it happens every time, are you running in legacy mode or one of the others?

jasonkong – are you getting much traffic to your site? The next preload should happen within a minute.
