Starkers theme question

    I am trying to develop a theme using the Starkers theme for WP3. It is much different from the older version. Is there a tutorial(I didn’t see one on the site) that will show how to add divs and classes and where? The index.php page is a lot different and the loop.php page is somewhat overwhelming. I’m sure that once I get into it will seem more logical but I can’t wrap my head around it

    Is there a less complicated starter theme (I’m sure I sound like an idiot) I tried adding css but it is not working right.

    ok – let’s try this – is there a bare bones theme that people use to create themes – something with the essential components of WP. Starkers looks great but I’m too confused and could not find tutorials on it.

    Any suggestiosn?

    Starkers IS a bare bones theme.

    Look at the index-file, take some of the selectors and start styling them (in CSS).

    Maybe also take a look at a css-framework like Bluetrip, 960.gs or something ..

    Starkers doesn’t have any selectors – that I see. My confusion comes on where to put my classes and divs in the files. I could tool around with but I thought there might be a tutorial somewhere – I know this is a noob question – thanks for any help
