    Hello,
I had wordpress running on my host’s server, then i had to change my domain so i changed the hosts account, then his nameservers werent working well. I was getting errors and static pages, my admin panel was not updating anything on the website. So i decided to delete it, i deleted everything, even the databases, now when i am installing wordpress again, it says

    Already Installed

You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.

But my databases are clear. I deleted everything for wordpress.
There is one other database left though called information_schema
and as i deleted the user, i cannot delete it now.

Please help me with the installation.
    Thanks 🙂

Hmm, sounds like quite a predicament. Did you delete the wordpress files from the server too?

if not, try deleting all of those, and double-check your databases are all deleted.

Now, re-upload wordpress files and try install again.

Yes, i had deleted my whole site’s folder in the FTP.
I remember using the restore wizard to restore my database, and from the cPanel i had deleted it again.
    So, i am deeply stuck.

when you make changes in wordpress than deleting it and after that re-uploading it it doesnt change anything becouse theres somwhere where the changes are saved, thats all i can say….sorry

We all know that, i have deleted that somewhere aswell.

ok, if everything is deleted and databases all erased, then start a fresh install.

re-upload the files, create a new database. but use a different database name, username, and password. That will avoid any confusion with the new install.

Also, in the wp-config.php make sure you change the info to your new DB settings, and also get a new security hash just in case.

    That did it Jackie, thanks!

Well, that did the installaion right, but now when i updated wp-content and brought back the old database, the site doesnt show anything?
    Why is it that?

i dont think you’ll want to bring back the old database. if you want to copy just the posts content over, import only that table into the new database.

Leave the files alone as well; the only thing you would want to copy from your old site will be the /uploads/ and a custom theme (if you were using one).

I deleted the pllugin tables etc. I checked the uploads folder is in here, actually i had updated the whole wp-content.
Even now the site is a blank, i can login into my admin panel and see the old posts and stuff.
In themes it says The active theme is broken. Reverting to the default theme.

Hey, hang on, on changing the theme, the site just worked,
I remember i had edited my previous theme, any idea on how to restore the old theme now?

did you upgrade your version of WordPress? perhaps your other theme was incompatible with the newest WordPress.

Yes i did. That broke the theme, and now i had to install the theme all over again 🙁
