• a very silly question i am sure …
we want to blog a number of web pages which have text and images in them. Obviously the text is easy to cut and paste but is there a way of selecting all the info on the page (text and photos) and simply cut and paste them into the new blog page ????
(currently we have to save the photos separately and then upload them into the blog separately)

  • If you select everything on the web page you want and then copy & paste it straight into the visual editor that should bring the images too (at least it does for me). It doesn’t transfer the image to your server but calls it from the location you copied it from.

    thanks Nathan
sadly when i do this it simply selects the text and leaves the photos behind !

which page are you trying to copy from?

    for example – http://www.behobeho.com/bushblog.htm
i can select all the photos but when i post them into the wordpress editor it just takes the text ???

That is strange because when I select the text and images from that page and copy them (Ctrl C) then in visual editor paste them (Ctrl V) I get the text and images.

Make sure that you are in the visual editor and not HTML otherwise you do just get the text.

I’m using Firefox and WordPress 2.9.2
