• Hello,
I have a problem displaying my featured category as sliding images. I’m using Damla theme where there is an option to display the featured category as sliding images, the instructions are:

How to add images to your featured posts slideshow?
» If you are using WordPress version 2.9 and above: Just set “Post Thumbnail” when adding new post for the posts in selected category above.

I have followed these instructions but it still did not work. I mean whenever I create a new post, I just upload a photo and post it’s thumbnail.

    Can anyone help me please.

    Anyone can help?

I’m trying to find the same answer!

    Me too!

Yeah – and nobody to help!

On the edit post page there should be a featured image box. This is where you chose which image is to be used as the post-thumbnail.

Post thumbnail can be misleading, most blogs/websites use a thumbnail hence the idea of post thumbnail. The featured image can be but is not restricted to a thumbnail.

Thanks for the help, but we are referring to the fetured post slideshow, not the thumbnail in the post. Do you know how to do that one? It’s giving me fits! lol Thanks again!

can you provide a site link?

The plugin pulls the featured-image from posts if you are using wordpress 2.9+, so you need to add a featured image to each post in order for it to work.

I’ve used the featured-image to the selected posts (it pulls the pic from that post), and all I get is a blank where the slideshow should be (on top) and a thumbnail of the photo with the regular photo on each blog post. So yes, it creates a thumbnail but doesn’t create the featured post slideshow with those posts. I have followed all instructions as to number of blogs that need a photo and photo size. I went back to my old theme.

I’m sure I sound stupid, but oh well! lol The prob I am having is when I add a “featured image” it puts it as a thumb, not in the slideshow. What I did was just upload other pics into the folder and renamed them as 1.jpg, etc. in order to get them to show. That works – don’t know if there’s an easier way, since the templates say there is.

    Thanks for your patience!
