PLEASE HELP!! Site not working.."parse error"?!

I tried to edit a plugin (My Calendar) I don’t know code–just tried to follow another poster’s directions and I got this error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘=’ in /home/whereto2/public_html/wp-content/plugins/my-calendar/my-calendar-widgets.php on line 428

it won’t even update even when I tried to paste back the original code-no matter what I do, all I get is this message.
