Blog cut off on live site, but shows up in admin area

    I just made my first post on my test site at
    http://morvenwestfield.com/wp1/

    When I entered the post using the Admin backend, I could see the entire post. When I clicked Preview, it all showed up.

    On the live site, though, it’s just an extract and I don’t see any way to get to the rest of the post.

    Is this a template problem? (That may be obvious, but I’m a rank newbie and need to know what to try next.)

    Yes – it’s a template issue. Try editing the relevant template file in your theme (index.php?) and replacing <?php the_excerpt();?> with <?php the_content();?>.

    Aha! Editing index.php had no effect, so I changed it back.

    Editing home.php, though, fixed it!
