• I’m using the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin and everything seems to work perfectly until I activate some plugins.

    Some plugins use the custom domain to get CSS and scripts while others use the subdomain.

    Contact Form 7 uses blogairlines.com.
    Sexy Bookmarks uses blogairlines.techairlines.com.

    Both methods work but I would like to try to have everything load from blogairlines.com to minimize DNS lookups. Is there a way (such as a function) to convert all the blogairlines.techairlines.com to blogairlines.com?

  • Yes.

    Go to Super Admin -> Sites. Find the blogairlines.com record. Hover over the name, click edit.

    See the list of tables? Find all subdomain references and change them to the domain. save.

    @andrea_r:

    Is there a way to make this happen without having to do this every time you create a new site?

    Use a different domain maping plugin. 🙂 The only one i know of that does this is paid.

    (disclaimer: it’s mine)
