 * Since WP 4.3 upgrade, cannot edit Gravity Forms notifications. Get the following
   error:
    function WP_List_Table::get_columns() must be over-ridden in a sub-class.

 * Are you running the latest version of Gravity Forms?
 * This issue was resolved in Gravity Forms v1.9.12 prior to the release of WordPress
   4.3 while WordPress 4.3 was still in beta.
 * Make sure you keep everything up to date. If this issue is occurring with WordPress
   v4.3 AND the latest version of Gravity Forms then please submit a support ticket
   on the Gravity Forms support site.

 * I am unfortunately running 1.9.9. $199 seemed to steep a price to pay for support.
   I suppose it is going to cost $199 to get this problem fixed, now.

 * FWIW, I replaced the file wp-admin/includes/class-wp-list-table.php from the
   previous version of WordPress and problem went away. That, however, caused the
   table display in “All Posts” and “All Pages” to be affected – the mouse-over
   quick links would not display.

 * We definitely don’t recommend editing core WordPress files.
 * Gravity Forms is sold as a yearly subscription. The renewal for the Developer
   License is 50% off the $199. What you are paying for is support and software
   updates. This discount expires if your license has been expired for more than
   60 days.
 * If your license is no longer eligible for the renewal discount let me know and
   I can update it so that it is.
 * You should always run the latest version of WordPress and any WordPress plugins
   you are using so if you are using commercial plugins I definitely recommend making
   sure you renew them each year. Updates are very important. Not just for WordPress
   compatibility reasons like this, but also from a security standpoint.

 * Drastic times calls for drastic measures. Normally, I wouldn’t alter core files
   either but I had no choice. I was not the original purchaser of the Developer
   License on the system I now support; it was on the system when I inherited it.
   It never broke until now and couldn’t justify spending that kind of money each
   year. Still can’t really. All my other plug-ins are up-to-date, and they are
   free. So…

 * Me to having the same problem on my site: [http://www.vidyasagar.academy](http://www.vidyasagar.academy).

   It cannot be justified to spend such kind of money each year for gravity forms.
   I am inclining to switch over for Formidable forms now, as they are giving life
   time updates. This deal is much cheaper than spending money on yearly renewal
   for gravity forms.

 * Updating the license – does not change the error, and I made sure to disable
   all cache programs. At the moment the only fix – especially if you have sites
   using Gravity Stripe+ is to replace the wp-admin/includes/class-wp-list-table.
   php with the previous version.
 * Its only a temp patch to the issue for a day or so until a permanent solution
   is found. Complaining about paying for software that does not give you support
   unless you pay is nonsense. If you don’t like paying for it use another or figure
   out issues with others in support forums like this. If you are actually utilizing
   the power and or features of the plugin then you know its worth the $39 a year(
   or $99 or $199 depending on how many sites and or feature plugins you need).
 * Basically lets not complain – lets just figure out a solution.

 * What a clarification…!
    Hence only, I just purchased Formidable “Standard”. Its
   now working very beautifully on my site: [http://vidyasagar.academy/short-term-robotics-courses/#note-this](http://vidyasagar.academy/short-term-robotics-courses/#note-this)
 * And about the statement “forum like this”….?
    I never had any problem on this
   forum of WordPress. Its the most important forum for me. No issues, no problems,
   never….! I love you, WP!

 * I like Gravity Forms, don’t get me wrong. But really the licensing and support
   model (costs) are more than the OS my entire site is running on. My time I will
   likely spend trying to find a less expensive alternative is probably more costly
   than simply paying to renew my Gravity Forms support. But, the investment [in
   switching to something else] may be worth it in the long run. At any rate, customers
   typically vote with their wallet or with their feet. If they are getting what
   they want at a reasonable cost and getting good support, they will keep coming
   back. If they don’t, they will walk. This one problem is going to cost me $199
   to fix; more if I try to fix it myself. Hum, which way to go?

 * Works for me now that I have upgraded Gravity Forms from 1.8.9 to 1.9.13.7.

 * Hey carlhancock,
 * I have this issue on a website I maintain, if you’re still offering to let us
   renew for the discount past the expiry, I would gladly take advantage of that.
 * If not, I completely understand.
 * Thanks!

 * I still get function WP_List_Table::get_columns() must be over-ridden in a sub-
   class. and i’m using 1.9.6 with all plugins and wp updated.
 * Any ideas?
