Plugins Wont Install Even Via FTP

    Hi

    I hope someone can help. I am setting up a new blog with a theme installed. However, I simply cannot install any plugin. It either hangs on downloading or hangs on unpacking package’. So I have downloaded and unzipped plugins and put theme in the plugin folder which is then uploaded to my FTP space.

    However, when I return to my plugin page – no new plugins ever appear.

    Does anyone know if this might be a theme issue?
