• Hi,
Is it possible to have a different domain name for a sub blog?
    I wanted to have
thealternates.illyaking.com be thealternates.org. Is this possible with MU?
    Thanks,
    -Illya

Okay, I am looking at this… do I have to create a sub directory with a instal of WordPress first?

What I would like to do is to log on my main site dashboard but be able to get to the other site using the backend option in the super dashboard.

You would use the domain mapping plugin, and then map the subblog to the new domain of your choice.

I use it myself, so I can have sites at blah.blah.com, but I also have other sites like bloo.com hosted with the single WP3 install.

Awsome, thank so much for the plug in link. I am a bit confused. The tutorial mentions changing around the DSN entries… do I do that with my original domain name at illyaking.com or do I do that with my other domain? I am using Go Daddy by the way… I haven’t seen at parked domain option.

Okay… I had the DNS wildcard already in place because I had a few other sub blogs. I went in the domain mapping section and selected the id number of the blog and the domain name I want it to go to. In the site section the domain name is in the mapping column.. but the domain name still does not direct to the blog I wish it too. What did I do wrong?
