How to edit the category template

    Hi All,

    When i click on my sidebar, on the categorie widget, it display a page of my posts from the categorie but i would like to change this template and cant find the way to do it.

    I would like to know where to edit the category template.

    Any idea?

    check according to http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy which template file displays the categories.

    in general:

    A:
    if your theme does not have a category.php – make a copy of archive.php and save it as category.php; edit to your needs.

    B:
    if your theme does not have a archive.php – make a copy of index.php and save it as archive.php; edit it if neccessary.

    then continue with step A.

    either edit your files local, and upload them after changes; or use the ‘admin’ ‘appearance’ ‘editor’
