Internal Server Error

    Every time I try to upload a photo and sometimes when I try to add a new post to my blog, I get the following error:
    Internal Server Error, The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, support@supportwebsite.com
    and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you
    might have done that may have caused the error.
    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    My web designer and I have been trying to figure this out for over a week. We contacted the host, Godaddy, and they had us look for htaccess files. We removed those and still get the problem. They did access the error log and said these errors are due to the scripts that are being accessed.

    We have tried to correct this problem, however nothing works. I was using an earlier version of WordPress – not sure exactly which one…2 I think — and reinstalled and upgraded to 3, but that didn’t work either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Try using WP CSS and WP JS plugins to first speed your blog up as much as possible.

    WordPress is seriously sluggish now, HTTP errors on uploading images via flash and I get about 1000 of these messages per day according to my site statistics. Google is seeing that and its effecting me badly.

    I’m on a brand new blog, only the most well known and popular plugins used plus I’m a developer. The only things that have made a different is the WP CSS and WP JS plugin plus removing a lot of php from the index.php and header.php of my theme.

    Contact someone to help you with that your interesting as it is not for beginners. That message is for anyone looking at this post. You may damage your blog SEO doing the wrong thing.

    My site is http://www.webtechglobal.co.uk, check out how quick it loads despite a lot of images on home page. Before it would crash a lot.

    Oh and one last thing, upload images using the browser uploader, nearly forgot to mention this.

    There is a plugin to disable the flash uploader which now causes http error on all my blogs since version 3.0.

    Hi Alicia,
    Still having trouble and now readers of the blog tell me that they are starting to get the error when they try to go on the site. That would be great if you could take a look. The designer did already try the suggestions in the help file, but thank you for sharing. How do I get in touch with you?

    Hi Alicia, Sorry about the delay — I have been away from my desk and just got back, but am still riddled with errors. The domain name is http://www.stacyjuba.com/blog. The incident ID with GoDaddy is Incident ID: 9423285. I would definitely appreciate any suggestions as nothing seems to be working. Thank you for your offer.

    Hi Stacy –

    No problem. I’ve gotten with our hosting team and they’re going to provide you with the most current log files to help you troubleshoot the errors. That should help you narrow it down. Keep us posted.
