• Hi guys,

I’m working on a new site which can be found here: http://www.lmhc.co.uk

Straight away you should see that there is a problem.

    I have made a template page/file:<?php /*Template Name: Home Page*/ ?>

In the wordpress backend, I have made a new page called ‘Home Page’. I have set the home page template as ‘Home Page’ which, as explained before is the name of the template file.

I then went into Settings > Reading and clicked on: A static page (select below) and selected ‘Home Page’ from the drop down menu.

I have done the same for this site/template as I have with other wordpress sites. However, this time the template only gets the <?php get_header(); ?>and <?php get_footer(); ?>.

It does NOT get any of the other html from inside the template, hence why the page looks empty apart from the back/header/footer.

Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening?

FYI – this was also the case when I had designed/viewed it locally on my computer i.e. http://localhost/wordpress

Many thanks in advance for anybody who can shed some light on this problem.

    Ali
