• A year ago a friend of mine suggested I move Screencomment.com from blogger to WP, extolling the various benefits of the site. I took the time and paid money for plugins and proceeded to transfer to WP. I have a pretty good handle on HTML and Blogger processes, so I had expected to understand WordPress.

WordPress has been nothing but frustration for me. So much so that I went back to blogger. Basically, I felt useless in the face of so much complexity. I’m just not able to understand wordpress, it’s uncanny since normally I’m not tech-dumb at all. Just today, I decided to give it another go and went to DL the template and once again, it’s giving me problems. I did open the README file and opened the very first file I was told (wp-admin/install.php.

First problem is that the install prog asked me which file to use to open this? How do I know? README indicates ‘open in browser’ so I selected Mozila. Then it was an error message about my browser not having PHP setting.

This is so frustrating and dumb and I’m so over it. And yet, meanwhile I know that WP is far superior in capacity, in every way, and I so wish I could make it work for myself.

    Can someone help me?
