Search broken after directory change

    I just launched a site by moving the index and .htaccess files from a test directory to the root following the directions on the wordpress codex. Everything works great, HUZZAH! but my search bar no longer works. It is searching in the directory of of the install and just gives me the 404 page. I edited the searchform.php file to search the root and got a pretty nasty white page error.

    How do I fix this?
