• Since installing WordPress 3.0 (Fresh Install), we’re no longer able to update posts or pages without the page timing out. This is recurring; it happens each and every time we try to make an update.

We’re running it on a small test VPS right now, prior to going live, yet we’re stuck here because we can’t update anything.

    We’re running the following setup:

    Apache 2.x
    MySQL 5.1.x
    PHP 5.3.x w/xCache (SuPHP + Suhosin)

xCache is configured with 128MB of RAM. The VPS has 1.2GB of RAM provisioned as dedicated. The CPU is 2.0GHz+, which is dedicated as well.

This is a CPanel based VPS and we never had this issue running 2.9.x, not once. Since trying WordPress 3.0, we’ve been running into quite a bit of bad luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Seems to be an issue with both 2.9.x & 3.0. We stopped & disabled the Firewall (CFS) though to no avail, updating a post or a page doesn’t work. I’m a bit clueless.

We’ve started using the default theme on both, no modifications, no plug-in’s. RAM has been increased to 2GB, CPU to 3.2GHz and we’re still either timing out, or there’s a problem elsewhere.
