• Hi: the sites I am building have a main page at example.com and subdomains with wordpress installs. I need to use the standard navigation menu for pages and would like to avoid custimizing under the theme options. All I’d like is the ability to add one static URL at the end of the dynamic menu that takes visitors back to the main site. Tried to insert some text in the header file of the theme, but am not seeing anything. I’m probably not using the right code or putting it in the wrong place. Any guidance?

  • create a blank page and give it the title you want to appear on navigation bar; then just make a 301 redirect to the url you want. you can use “redirection” plugin to do it

you can’t code but you can think!! 🙂

You should be able to use the menu system for this. Create a new custom menu and link it to whatever url you want and it will appear in the navigation the same as any menu link. No coding involved, it’s a standard wordpress 3.0+ feature.

just noticed the OP was from 7 months ago
