• I deleted my WordPress SQL database yesterday in error. However two days ago I made a back up of it (the database). CPanel successfully restored it however I do not see my posts. I have searched the forums before this post and did not find an adequate answer. What I want to avoid is loading everything all over again. I don’t want to have to reassign all of my posts to the author “Bink” and load my plugins all over again.

All of my plugins are disabled so there are no variables to troubleshoot. The index page is the original index page I modified. The only thing being called by the index page are my Flickr photos. That is working fine.

This is my website: http://www.binkology.com/memoir.

Please tell me how I can find my posts. My hosting provider is closed on Sundays and I may not have time to work on this during the week. I can page them but the voice mail says only for emergencies and I don’t think they would consider this an emergency being that it is not commerce related.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

• Do you have phpmyadmin? If so, first thing I would do is get into the database and just look and make sure it looks like it restored properly. Do you see the tables? If you browse the tables, do you see the info?

Yes, I do have PHPMyAdmin. The tables are restored. I performed a check on the database and this is what came back:
name_wrdp1 is now being checked.

name_wrdp1.wp_categories OK
name_wrdp1.wp_comments OK
name_wrdp1.wp_linkcategories OK
name_wrdp1.wp_links OK
name_wrdp1.wp_options OK
name_wrdp1.wp_post2cat OK
name_wrdp1.wp_postmeta OK
name_wrdp1.wp_posts OK
name_wrdp1.wp_users OK
However, what I have noticed is once I go into PHPMyAdmin and select the database I can’t manipulate the tables. I am seeing two users assigned to this table and I am the only person with access (Each user has FULL RIGHTS to the database.) to the server for this site. What is wrong with this?

Thanks

*Update*

The error I am getting is this when I try to access the database:

The connection was refused when attempting to contact login.bluehost.com:2082.

I get this error message with the firewall on/off and with Firefox and IE.

Please help.

Give it 10 minutes and try again – that’s a site/host issue.
If it persists, email their support.

On their voicemail they said a box went down. I don’t know if my site is on this box. I restored the database last night. I will wait 1-2 hours and try again.

Thanks!
