Qian Qin is working on a WordPress 3 compatible version of his plugin, see http://www.qianqin.de/qtranslate/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1573
Hopefully, it will be out soon. I just want to remove the incompatibility warning and the auto-disable feature. Any way of doing this? I’m handling the client’s translations myself so I can mess with the <!–:en–>Contact<!–:–><!–:es–>Contacto<!–:–> without a problem.
Hi butterflymedia.
Regarding removing the warning:
I found this http://boring-group.com/custom-musings/wordpress-3-0-alpha-and-qtranslate/ and it works for me. The guy describes how to remove that warning. The only thing is that page names in the backend (only pages, only in the backend!) appear as
<!–:en–>Contact<!–:–><!–:es–>Contacto<!–:–> instead of just in your default backend language.
I think this is a minor thing 🙂
I don’t guarantee that it works for you, but it does for me.
Cheers,
Juli
Thanks Juli, I’ll try that.
EDIT: I read it and it’s a simple constant redefine. I’ll try to see how it works and test it offline. I’m off now, it started raining and I need to get home 🙂
Hi butterflymedia,
how did you go? Did it stop raining and you could test it? 🙂
Cheers,
Juli
