410 status code but on GSC still on Not Found (404)

    Hello, just curious to understand if it’s me or… but i added a lot of my deleted pages on your tool in the Add Url section. When i test the status code it’s ok, 410 but on my GSC analytics, i still can see all of these pages (i added them like 6 months ago) on the section Pages > Not Found (404)

    Is it normal? What can i do to delete them from also the section of GSC and the web? Thanks so so much!

    Hi @jedi82,

    Unfortunately, I don’t think I can help you with your issue without inspecting the URLs and having access to your GSC. If you re-crawl an individual URL on GSC, does it respond with a 410? If yes, then everything works as expected and that’s everything we can do.

    Simply having the URLs in the 404 report in GSC is also correct (GSC groups 404/410), you should check if they actually still show up in search results. If not, everything is correct. They may still be in GSC, but if they’re not showing up in search, you’ve achieved your goal.
