 * I updated to version 4.1 last Friday 3/18. After the update of the plugin, I
   received the white screen of death when trying to visit the wp-admin. I was able
   to bypass this by visiting wp-login.php, but many areas of the admin were white
   pages. This was the only update on the site in a week.
    I see that there is another
   update to 4.1.0.1. This is great, but it seems to address a whole other issue.
   I tried to login and by-pass the wp-admin, but now the site no longer recognizes
   my admin password and yes…I already visited the database to make sure it was
   correct.
 * Can anyone help with this, or has anyone had this problem?
    I am about to try
   to “downgrade” to version 4.07 to see if that will get me back to working.

 * Howdy CTE,
 * I am sorry that gave you so much trouble. Hopefully your downgrade was successful.
   Just in case you’re interested here’s a tutorial on that process: [Downgrading a plugin](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/)
 * The issue 4.1.0.1 fixed is quite probably related to your white screen. It is
   hard to say without seeing your error logs, which the white screen indicates
   you should have some. But 4.1.0.1 was a “hotfix” style release to fix intended
   to fix a few white screens people were seeing.
 * If you you want to wait until 4.1.1 to update i can understand that. If for some
   reason you do continue seeing the white screen after updating please check your
   logs, or better you download and enable the WP Debug Bar which will prevent the
   white screen from happening and show you the errors. If you can let us know what
   the specific error is we can definitely assist further.
 * Cheers!
    – Brook
