  • Generally it’s best if you download the latest version of programs like that. You’ll want the latest version that works with Windows XP (you have XP, right?)

    Diane, who is your website hosted with? Do you have something like cPanel, Plesk, or vDesk for working with your site? If so, your host may offer installs of programs like WP through the control panel software, or through Fantastico – which would be very much simpler for you in the beginning.
