Vigilance theme question

    Hi,

    I am new to WordPress. I am just using the free version of vigilance theme. I noticed that I go to my categories page, it will only show the titles of the articles I posted. Is there a way to have the title posted and some excerpts of the article or is this a limitation for this theme? Is there a way to modify it?

    Also, I want to put a banner of an affiliate link in my posts. I am given an html code, I am wondering, how can I put the code so that the banner would look like a thumbnail on the side of the text and not above or below the lines of my text?

    You would need to edit the relevant template file in the theme and add <?php the_excerpt();?> at the relevant position within the Loop.

    Also, I want to put a banner of an affiliate link in my posts.

    Again, you’d need to edit the relevant template file to add the banner markup. You’d also need to add some CSS to the theme’s stylesheet to wrap the post text around the banner image.
