Today we discovered an issue while editing a page on one of our sites.
The customer called to advise his most important page was resolving 404. I logged into the account and saw the page at issue had the word “Draft” next to it. This page however has been a published page on his site for 3 years. I clicked “Publish” and the page finally resolved.
When I advised the customer I asked him if anybody was editing. He said it’s possible his para-legal was and he’d check.
A bit later he returned call and said his para legal had made updates last night to the page and didn’t publish. She left the page unpublished and still in editing mode for his approval.
Ultimately I wound up publishing. However, why did the page do this? Shouldn’t it always remain in the prior state “pre-edit” no matter if the customer is editing or not?
Thank you for any help.
