• Hi,

In latest version of WordPress and Hyper-Cache plugin caching of page 404 must be disabled is you need to change URL of your records.
If it’s enabled page “not found” will be shown for page with changed URL. After disabling of caching of page 404 the page will be redirected to changed page URL.
In previous versions of plugin and WordPress page after changing URL was redirected correctly with the default plugin settings.

    Is it bug or feature?

Hi, no it’s not a feature and should not happen. Can you report a sequence so I can try on my own blogs?

To reproduce the issue just chage any record URL and try to open the old one.
If caching or plugin are disabled your browser will be redirected to the new page URL, if caching enabled you’ll be shown 404 page.

Hi, usually, as far as I know, WordPress does not store the old url to create a redirection on post url change. Are you sure you have not a plugin that add this feature? Maybe a seo plugin or something like?
