404 on plugin assets

Hi, I am currently having very similar issues described here:

I am getting 404s, becase the plugin is looking for assets within the current route, instead of plugin’s folder.

I am not using Autoptimize plugin, but I am using Sage Roots theme with Acorn plugin. Is there anything i can do to make this work without dropping the theme?
