404 on clicking brands link

    As title suggests, I receive a 404, page not found, when I click on the brand I just created (from the widget in the store).

    I created the brand, added a product to the brand collection and then went to appearence > widgets and added the brands widget.

    Running php 7.1
    WP 4.7.2
    WC 2.6.14

    it’s under construction at the moment.

    turned on wp-debug, nothing showing, also turned off the under construction module, same error.

    problem was caused by woocommerce, having the permalinks set wrong.
