 * Hello!
    I have recently update all my wordpress installations on some of my websites.
   I started to notice, since 2.8.[I am not sure] but it reach the annoying spot
   on the 2.8.6 update. When I use the admin panel, to add new articles, to edit,
   to edit template, plugins, what so ever, randomly, from time to time, instead
   of getting the “succes” message or anything, it brings me in the blog and I get
   the 404, not found error. You know, like you browse your blog and type a wrong
   url [website.com/wrong.htt] and says “sorry nothing found for the page you wanted,
   etc] Since the last update I am getting this message more often, sometimes, like
   for example if I want to write a new post, when I hit “publish” it happens, sometimes
   it gets published, sometimes not. Sometimes, but rarely i get 500 internal server
   error. I deactivated the plugins, I tryed all the things I could find on forums
   but without luck. What can I do? I mention that I used automatic update but tryed
   to one of my websites manually update, or something. P.S where can I find a .
   httacces file for the 2.8.6 version, some of my websites don’t have a .httacces
   file and to some I don’t have the “original” anymore.
 * Thank you a lot!

 * Have you tried:
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * and there’s no such things as “an .htaccess file for 2.8.6”. .htaccess files
   are specific to individual sites. If some of your sites don’t have such a file,
   that must be because you haven’t set up a custom permalink structure on them.
