404 issues with custom post types and custom core file location

    Hey all,

    I’ve just been configuring a new WordPress install, most things are working fine apart from one small problem, first of all here’s my setup:

    WordPress with core files in custom directory (/core)
    Custom post types setup using ‘Custom Post Type UI’ plugin (name of custom post type is guide)
    Permalinks structure set to /%category%/%postname%/

    The problem is when I create a post in the custom post type and visit it I am taken to a 404 page.

    The URL that wordpress gives me is http://www.siteaddress.com/guide/post but nothing is there.

    Normal blog posts (in the default post type appear to work fine).

    Any clues to what I’ve done wrong?
