    After installing The Events Calendar, the calendar slug isn’t working- I get a 404 error.

    I tried changing the calendar slug from calendar to something else and it didn’t work. I do have a page called “calendar” so I tried removing that page and still nothing.

    I tried disabling all of my plugins and setting my theme back to 2013 and the permalink still doesn’t seem to be working.

    I went to settings/permalinks and clicked the save button to update permalinks and still nothing.

    WP Debug Bar has a section for “tribe” and it shows:
    tribe_version_test commands
    [0] => get wordpress
    [1] => get php

    Is there anything else that I can try to get the calendar up and running?

  • Hello,
    try reinstalling the plugin again, if possible manually. Download it and upload it via FTP in your plugins folder.

    I don’t have access to FTP right now. I am currently accessing via mobile device. I did verify that I have a couple drop-ins installed. I cannot disable them until I have FTP access.

    Memcached Redux

    Should those all be compatible or will they cause compatibility problems? Either way, I will try to disable them later this evening when I am by an “actual” computer.

    The problem was related to object-cache.php. I disabled object cache and it works fine now. Thanks!
