# 404 error with gatorhost

 * Hello, so I just bought hosting via hostgator and transferred my domain from 
   tierra to hostgator. I followed all the right instructions, installed wordpress,
   but when I go to the wp-admin page, it just gives me a 404 error and won’t let
   me log in.
 * This is the first time I’ve ever used wordpress and my website is completely 
   blank, all I’ve done is purchase the domain name like 2 years ago and it’s been
   sitting dormant ever since.
 * Do I have to wait until I’m able to access the wordpress control panel? or what
   should I do?

 * It can take up to 72 hours for a domain name to move, because a change to Name
   Servers can take that long to propagate around the world.
 * You did not say when you made that change, so it may just be a case of waiting
   a little longer.
