    Hello!

I noticed a small but significant flaw in plugin functionality. User receives notification email about a new message in chat. He follows message link in email and if he is not currently logged into the site he sees 404 error page instead of login form. For him it looks like something is wrong with the site.

    Could you fix that?

    Regards, Alex

I just double checked with BuddyPress profile and for me it redirects correctly to login when currently not logged in, not sure what exactly the issue at your website.

Probably would be better to set another location for Messages then, like dedicated Messages page.

The redirection works for me too, but the extra “/” comes from somewhere after login.php and I see 404 error:

    https://infosecportal.ru/wp-login.php/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Finfosecportal.ru%2Fpolzovateli%2Fpauls%2Fbp-messages%2F#/conversation/11

    Where it comes from?

And if I remove this undue “/” from the address bar and log in, then I am redirected only to https://infosecportal.ru/polzovateli/pauls/bp-messages/, and not to a specific message url https://infosecportal.ru/polzovateli/pauls/bp-messages/#/conversation/11.

At the same time, a message appears: “You must be authorized to access the requested page”.

    Hi there!

Redirection of private profile tabs in BuddyPress profile is handled by BuddyPress and not by Better Messages.

Added slash should be caused by some config of your website or buddypress, not sure what exactly and at which level that can be, so cant help with that unfortunately.

    Thanks!
