Tutorial Source: [http://www.activewebhosting.com/faq/scripts-wordpress.html](http://www.activewebhosting.com/faq/scripts-wordpress.html) * The problem is that I did not want my url to be cgi.marcusmillsproductions.com when I know there has to be a way to just have it on my ftp so that the address is [http://www.marcusmillsproductions.com](http://www.marcusmillsproductions.com). * So I deleted the files, logged into my ftp and tried doing it that way following the wordpress instructions, the 5 minute install and everything else I could read online. * I downloaded WordPress 3.0.4, unzipped, edited wp-config-sample.php and saved it to wp-config.php; I uploaded all the files inside the wordpress folder directly to my ftp, and typed in [http://marcusmillsproductions.com/wp-admin/install.php](http://marcusmillsproductions.com/wp-admin/install.php) and received a 404 error. * I deleted everything from my ftp, and tried uploading the entire WordPress folder. Same 404 error. * After reading everything from the forums, I even tried creating a ‘public_html’ folder and uploading everything to that within my ftp – I still received a 404 error. * I found a really cool theme that I would like to use, and I am in the process of graduating so I want to be able to get this done without having a fourth day– I am so frustrated.
