    Hi there,

To stop the 404 error you’ll probably just ned to resave your site’s permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking the save button.

If that doesn’t work your podcast RSS feed will still be available at this address: http://www.straightanursingstudent.com/?feed=podcast.

However, your feed contains no episodes because you have not added your episode audio file to the ‘Audio file’ field in the episode details. If there is no file there then the feed cannot recognise it as a valid podcast episode so it won’t be added to the feed.

    Cheers,
    Hugh

I’ve done the following and I still get error messages:

-saved my permalinks (didn’t change anything, just saved)
-added the episode to the Audio File field

Using http://www.straightanursingstudent.com/?post_type=podcast resulted in an “invalid document” error.

using http://www.straightanursingstudent.com/feed/podcast resulted in the 404 error.

    I’m sure I’m missing something…but don’t know what!

    Thank you!!!

When re-saving your permalinks make sure they are set to anything other than ‘default’. If that doesn’t work then you’ll need to contact your host as there will be something on the server will be affecting your URL rewriting rules.

The following URLs work just fine for me:

    http://www.straightanursingstudent.com/?post_type=podcast (for your episode archive)
    http://www.straightanursingstudent.com/?feed=podcast (for your feed)

So if you save your permalink rules like I mentioned then the ‘proper’ URLs will work too.

    Cheers,
    Hugh

I think it’s working now! THANK YOU!!!

It always amazes me whenever I figure out how to do something technical…couldn’t have done it without your help and this great plugin!
