• I getting 404 error message while trying to:
    – delete/update plugin/themes
    – delete comment/post

Nothing helped – Tried to put new htacsses file, and tried to put new wp-includes, and tried to deactivate all plugins, and even tried to re-install wordpress from the dashboard – also got this annoying 404 message.

    What can I do,
    thanks in advance,
    Amit.

  • Hi, Casio222:

To be honest, u really haven’t provided us w/much information, i.e.:
Is this a fresh install or upgrade?
    What WordPress version?
Are u on a Linux or Windows server?
Is this a single- or multisite installation?
Did u install to a separate folder or to the root?
Is your site url different from your wordpress url, i.e., is your site url yourdomain.com & your wordpress url yourdomain.com/wordpress, as an example.
Precisely what url did u type in to get the 404 error?

I think the problem appeared when upgraded to 3.5.1.
    Linux server – godaddy.
I have few wordpresses sites on my server, each in a different domain, where the site I’m talking about installed on the root.
The wordpress url is my site url.

I get the 404 error for example I am trying to “empty spam” or delete plugin/ post/ comment.

    Hope that helps.
