# 404 error and other problems

 * I have recently installed a blog. the internal links seemed to be working yesterday
   but are now coming up with the following error message. External links are fine.
 * Not Found
    The requested URL /blog/about/ was not found on this server.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.
 * I anyone could help in simple newby language that would be appreciated
    Thnaks
   inanticipation.

 * Did you change anything at all within the site since yseterday?
    IT is saying
   it can not find the WP page /blog/about COuld be invalid URL in WP-Admin Settings,
   bad plugins, htaccess errors. Many things. If you sear for 404 on the forums 
   weill probably get many things to check.
 * The 404 is simply a response from the web server that it did received a request
   for a web page but the actual web page could not be found or loaded on the server.
   In this case it is also saying the 404 was related to trying to load an Errordocument
   which is just as it says. You can configure web servers so a specific page is
   displayed in the event of errors such as a 404. Your server either does not have
   such a document confiured or it could not find it.

    delete .htaccess in wordpress root regenerate permalinks
   admin – settings – permalinks

 * Thanks for the replies.
    I intalled wordpress using fantastic and have used file
   manager to search for .htaccess but can’t find it. Any suggestions?
