I am trying to move database content from my development site to my staging site. The backup runs fine as does the install but when I try to access my staging site I get a 404 error. The files are still in place (i.e. index.php, wp-config.php, etc.).

Both sites are on the same private network.

  • Hey @atcytech,

Thanks for the feedback! There are a few items in the FAQ that may provide a solution to this issue, this one may get you going.

        – Why do I get a 404, redirected, path errors/issues or unable to login after installing?

Let me know if this helps~

    Thanks, Cory.

I realize it was my error causing the problem. I moved the wp-snapshots directory from one site to the other and tried to run the installer from the sub-directory instead of moving the archive and the installer to the root directory of the new site. Once I did so, everything worked as expected AND worked after I completed the migration.

I appreciate the rapid response. Merry Christmas.
