404 error after home page

    I normally use another web host that is actually WP easy, but new client has site(s) on Go Daddy (Grrr)… Uploaded WP because his account is not WP supported (??) and they told them it needed to be manually uploaded

    Get the home page just fine, but when you click the about page or any other link, you get 404 error, cant find page.

    I tried everything in my WP book of tricks to get it to work right and nothing seems to help.

    By any chance did you change the default permalink structure to a “pretty permalinks” format?

    Nope, haven’t made it that far… I have not gone beyond set up and testing the blog.

    Sorry to hear of your trouble. This is a result of moving existing data while WordPress has it’s own redirection in place. Please change the ‘siteurl’ variable in the ‘wp_options’ table through MySQL so that it does not include the site folder.
