# 404 error

 * I messed around with ‘Site URL’ in ‘Settings’ and now when I try and use anything
   else in dashboard a 404 comes up. I changed from [http://visitE1.com/wordpress](http://visitE1.com/wordpress)
   to just [http://visitE1.com/](http://visitE1.com/) but now I can’t change it 
   back and am unable to access anything besides the widgets area.
 * Any suggestions?

 * You have to move the site files to the root folder and then update the database
   with one of these methods…

 * Then you have to make sure none of your plugins meed to be updated to show the
   new path.
