I did run a search about this, and found nothing regarding a 403 error. However I did see several similarities between this and the things regarding the 404 error people have been getting with 2.0. I have tried the suggestions found at , but I am still receiving the following when logged in and trying to post from the Write window:

You don’t have permission to access /journal/wp-admin/post.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Now, when using email posting, the posts do appear, although the formatting is odd. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to solve this?

The chmod for wp-admin/post.php is set to 644 as it should be.

  • Interesting. I’ve checked the post, and it contained the word “curl”. It seems I may have solved my own problem. Curse you, mod_security!!

    silversihde –

I’m just curious – did this 403 show up in your server error log, and did that give you any clue?
