  • Hi,

My colleague and I are at our wits end with 403 errors. We only get about 10mins of work done editing before we get locked out. I can unlock myself thru CPanel and Fail2Ban and then I wait 5mins. Then I get another 10mins. I have to switch to another IP on an iPad to do any editing. My colleague in a different location is less lucky getting locked out more.

I have been dealing with my webhost who have been helpful from their end and done IP testing but they generally dont see any issue. They did get this log during one lockout.

It looks like something on your end is opening up 161 connections and reaching our connection soft limit of 150.

I have been thru the obvious issues like disabling all plugins, permissions, resetting .htaccess file etc. I even refreshed my IP at home which worked well for a week and then the error comes back. Its like something core in WordPress is not closing connections. Im imagining that every edit or refresh adds a connection which doesnt close. So we hit a limit of 150 and then 403.

Can anyone recommend a company that can help with one off fixes? We dont want to give up on WordPress as we have sunk a lot of money into plugins etc.

    Thanks

    Chris
