I experienced 521 errors taking my website down, after purging cache from Cloudflare. When I found out the error above, I disabled the plugin, deleted all local cache, and than again purging cache from CLoudflare. The 521 error didn’t happen again.

You have Stealth Mode enabled, but for some reason your server isn’t allowed to access the URL used for stealth mode. I don’t know why this happens. I’d have to look into your server’s access logs.

If you’re using CloudFlare, it might be that the request to the API url is also cached by them, causing the 403 error. Perhaps you should try configuring CloudFlare to not cache the wp-json/* URI?

You are right, it was indeed Stealth Mode that broke things down. For now I will play on safe and just keep it disabled.

Thanks a lot for your help!

No problem. I guess I have some more research to do with CloudFlare + Stealth Mode 🙂
