Hi, same problem here.
Fixed by removing accessibility mode

Thanks very much, yes that fixed it. Phew.
I have a similar problem. Current text widgets don’t have the text/display editor. But the existing widgets display on the website. I can add a text widget but can’t name or edit it. I turned off all of my plugins and that didn’t work. Turning off accessibility mode didn’t work.
Same problem on 4.8: if I add a text widget to a sidebar I can’t name it or add any content.
I can control it its visibility or position in the sidebar – but that’s useless since it doesn’t have any content.
Accessibility mode wasn’t on, but I tried turning it off and on again just in case. Didn’t help.
I can rename and edit the content of existing text widgets.
Luckily I had an inactive widget that I could drag back to the sidebar and edit.
But I’d like to be able to create new text widgets.
Any other ideas?

Themify Builder Lite was doing the same after the last update – couldn’t edit anything already published, which rendered it unusable. Have ditched it and redoing all my pages, with Elementor page builder, infintely better, and a more professional look.
Changing Accessibility mode did fix my issue with Themify, and I just checked, it is still working OK, and can be edited.
I received no support from themify over the Builder Litre issue, maybe they just want you to buy the Pro version??
