Support » Plugin: Featured Image Admin Thumb » 4.7 changed the flow, odd use

  • Resolved LarryTartisel

After updating to 4.7, when I use the link on the admin page, it does bring up the media library, but not in a modal window anymore. It goes full screen and you see things differently than before the upgrade to 4.7.
    See my screen recording here:
Can you help me with this? I love your plugin it streamlines so much of my workflow.
    Thanks, Larry

    Hi Larry.

First, thank you for using my plugin.

I have only just seen this support entry so apologies for the delay in responding.

I have the latest version of WordPress (from the development trunk @ 4.8-alpha) and am using the Twenty Seventeen theme. With the latest version of my plugin I get the correct modal when I click on a featured image or the “Set featured image” and after choosing or changing an image I am returned to the Posts list screen and the image has been changed.

Are you still encountering this issue?

    Thank you again.

I just realized that the problem exists on PAGES, not posts. I have tried this on a clean install with 2017 theme and it works the same as this video.

I use featured images for pages on some websites to display the child pages on a parent page.

    Any thoughts?

    Aha – thank you.

    Very helpful.

Take a look at version 1.4.2 – the default if you download the plugin from the plugin page – and see if that helps out with this issue.

Please let me know whether it resolves the issue or report back with any other comments.

Thank you for using my plugin.

I hope my plugin is still working out for you since the 1.4.2 update that included Pages.

If not, please open a new support ticket here.

Thank you for using my plugin.
