I’ve been working to setup a new site where I’d like to use [URL=”http://www.4-14.org.uk/wordpress-plugins/sermon-browser”%5DSermon Browser[/URL] and the Genesis/Outreach theme, but it appears that something in the Genesis framework conflicts with Sermon Browser.

When attempting to use Add Sermon function with any of the getID3 Import Options enabled, SB returns a blank page where not even the ‘Thank you for creating with WordPress footer is displayed). If I revert to the Default or Classic theme, SB works as expected.

I’ve cross-posted this apparent conflict between the Genesis framework and Sermon Browser to the Genesis/Outreach forum and to the 4-14.org.uk, but I’m hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on the issue and whether it’s something that can be resolved (and on which end).

  • Because this theme is a paid-for theme, I’m not able to test it, sorry.

It turns out that my hosting provider (1and1) defaults to serving PHP 4.4.9. Once I forced it to PHP 5 instead everything works as expected.
