• Hi,

Im desperatly looking for a system that can do the following:

Offer a login to clients, where we can put fairly large files for them to download. The login needs to be intergrated with wordpress and we need to be able to easily add downloads via the backend.

We also need to only shown downloads that are relevant to the client that logged in. So if user1 logs in, he can only see files intended for user1.

Ive been looking for the last two days but I havent been able to find anything. Can anyone recommend a free (or fairly cheap) plugin / software to allow me to do this?

    Thank you!

    James

Another bump. Need to know if there is something out there that does this.

I know of a way to do this. It will do what you want it to, but it may be a bit overkill. I use a program called “File Thingie”. For your situation, you would probably want something like this:
downloads.domain.com/client1 > Client Logs in and views files to download
downloads.domain.com/client2 > Client Logs in and views files to download
    etc.
The good thing is that this whole piece of software is only one file. You would need to put this file in each directory that you would want the client to download files from. You can also customize it so that is has a brand name, whether clients can upload or not, and if I remember correctly, you can have different users with different permissions. That way you can upload files for your clients through the same software.
There is very good documentation on the software’s website.
Let me know if you need any other questions.

    Ross
